Dear AMVETS Post and District Commanders,
In accordance with our annual awards program, I respectfully request your participation in submitting nominations for AMVET of the Year and Post of the Year. These awards provide an opportunity to recognize outstanding dedication, leadership, and service to AMVETS, our Veterans, and our communities.
Post Commanders are invited to submit nominations for AMVET of the Year, honoring an individual member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, volunteerism, and leadership within their Post and community.
District Commanders are requested to submit nominations for Post of the Year, recognizing a Post that has exemplified excellence through membership involvement, community service, Americanism programs, and support of Veterans and their families.
Please ensure all nominations are completed and submitted in accordance with established guidelines by 30 April 2026 to PDC Lenny Hogan (Honors and Awards Committee Chair) and cc me and Department Adjutant.
Your participation is vital in recognizing those who truly exemplify the AMVETS mission.
