The National Service Foundation was created in 1948, with the goal of assisting our returning veterans from World War II by aiding in their readjustment back into civilian life. This goal has continued to this date.

Veteran Readiness and Employment – VR&E

If you have a service-connected disability that limits your ability to work or prevents you from working, Veteran Readiness and Employment can help. This program helps you explore employment options and address education or training needs. In some cases, your family members may also qualify for certain benefits.

The U.S. Small Business Administration, (SBA) offers support for veterans as they enter the world of business ownership. Look for funding programs, training, federal contracting opportunities, expert advice, and more.

PuroVet opens the door for Veterans to independently own and operate their own PuroClean franchise. Offering a 25% discount off the initial franchise fee; access to SBA-backed financing and funding; and comprehensive hands-on training and support to ensure success within a proven operational business model.

I Am a Veteran Campaign

Every Michigan Veteran has a story and the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency is documenting them with the “I Am a Veteran Campaign.” The goal: to motivate other Veterans to identify, tell their stories and get connected to the benefits they earned for their service. (call 1-800-MICH-VET to connect for benefits and resources)

The page linked below is dedicated to the stories of our Veterans, including underserved and underrepresented Veterans. You can also submit your own story by using the form found on the page. Dependents of Veterans are also encouraged to tell their loved one’s story.

Military & Veteran Discounts Guide

The Dealhack Military & Veteran Discounts Guide is the result of a quarterly survey of brands that offer discounts to Veterans, Reservists, and Active-Duty Members of the U.S. Military. The list contains over 200 brands that are conveniently grouped into 26 categories.
