National PTSD Awareness Day is observed annually on June 27 to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage treatment for the millions affected by trauma. Established in honor of Staff Sgt. Joe Biel, this day focuses on educating the public, especially regarding veterans and service members. June is also recognized as National PTSD Awareness Month.
